The Battle of Lovejoy’s Station was a military engagement between Union forces commanded by Brigadier General Judson Kilpatrick and Confederate forces commanded by Major General Patrick Cleburne during the Atlanta Campaign of the American Civil War. The encounter took place in Clayton County, Georgia at Lovejoy’s Station, on the Macon and Western Railroad, on August 20, 1864.
